When a Team Photo Becomes a Motor Valley Moment: IAMBIC at Pagani

There are team photos… and then there are team photos with a Pagani Huayra. 🏎️🇮🇹

During our time together in Italy’s Motor Valley, I had the opportunity to bring the team from IAMBIC into the extraordinary world of Pagani. And somewhere between staring at acres of exposed carbon fiber, studying details that look more like jewelry than automotive components, and collectively wondering how anyone could possibly build something this outrageous, we captured these photos.

I mean, come on. This may officially ruin the conference-room team photo forever.

What I love about the picture, though, isn’t simply the Huayra sitting in front of us. It’s what the car represents.

Pagani exists at this fascinating intersection of engineering, art, design, materials, obsession and imagination. Nothing feels accidental. A bolt isn’t merely a bolt. A piece of carbon fiber isn’t simply there because it saves weight. Every component contributes to a larger idea.

And that made Pagani an especially appropriate place to bring the IAMBIC team.

IAMBIC approaches footwear from a similarly unconventional direction, blending technology, data, biomechanics, personalization and design to rethink something most of us have taken for granted our entire lives: how a shoe should actually fit a human foot.

Different industries, obviously. Different price tags, thankfully. 😂

But the underlying question is remarkably similar:

What happens when you refuse to accept the way something has always been made?

That’s one of the things I love most about bringing companies and leadership teams into Motor Valley. You can talk about innovation in a conference room. You can put “disruption” on a PowerPoint slide. You can have a strategy session about craftsmanship and customer experience.

Or you can stand six feet away from a Pagani and see what those words look like when someone actually builds them.

Suddenly innovation becomes tangible.

You can touch the materials. See the engineering. Understand the obsession. And most importantly, you experience it together.

That’s why these trips are never really about cars alone.

They’re about the conversations that happen afterward. The ideas somebody gets while walking through a factory. The dinner discussion that starts with carbon fiber and somehow ends up becoming a new product concept. The friendships that develop while traveling together through Italy.

And sometimes, they’re simply about stopping for a few minutes and taking a photograph that everyone will probably still be talking about years later.

For the IAMBIC team, this was one of those photographs.

Nine people.

One extraordinary Pagani.

And another reminder of why I keep coming back to Motor Valley: you never quite know which moment is going to become the moment.

That little bit of mystery is half the fun.

And yes, I’m pretty sure the Huayra won “best dressed” in the team photo. 🏁🇮🇹
